Monochrome & Neon Yellow Stripes | Nail Art
Wednesday, June 24, 2015
Hi! I'm back today with a design inspired by Pshiiit. I found an image of this design while searching for nail art! I had to recreate it, black or grey paired with yellow and white is my favourite combination of colours for nail art.
This design took forever! I hand painted the stripes, which of course meant I had to touch things up, and change things here and there. Overall I would say it took me over an hour for one hand! Having said that, the end result is so worth it, I love the colours together and the V shape of the stripes.
I used a basic striper brush for this design. I painted my nails an grey toned white polish, then I started with the light grey stripe, and continued the stripes from there, copying Pshiiit's colour choice as closely as I could.
I quickly wanted to mention the yellow polish, it's from Claire's and it's called Iced Donut. It is one of the most amazing neons ever! Opaque in 2-3 coats with a beautiful creamy formula. To make things even better, it smells just like iced donuts!
I hope you enjoyed this inspired design, I love how it turned out.
