Hi! Today I thought I would share my collection of Revlon Colorstay polishes! I love these polishes, the formula is consistently good and the colour selection is nice too. I believe these polishes have been discontinued, but they still seem readily available in Boots and Superdrug for £7.99. I get the majority of mine from Tk Maxx (Tj Maxx in USA) as they have a great colour range, prices vary from £1 (if you find them on clearance) to £2.99. I have also seen them in Poundworld, however in my local store the colour selection is very limited so I have only been able to find one or two colours that I like. I would say check out discount stores as these polishes seem to be popping up there.
Let's get onto the swatches, I have 7 colours to show you!
The first one is called Buttercup. This is a beautiful creamy pastel yellow, Opaque in two coats! This might be the best pastel yellow ever created, the formula is perfect and it dries glossy without streaks!
Next up is Sorbet. This is the odd one of the bunch, it has a weird crelly formula, it's super thick but not very opaque. This is three coats but my nail line is still slightly visible. Although this colour is very pretty, it's a yellow toned orange. This one dries slow too.
This one is called Bonsai. It's a beautiful grass green with tons of gold shimmer! I'm so glad my camera was able to pick this up. Formula on this one is great, two coats and dries glossy.
Next is Coastal Surf. This is one of my favourites! It's such a bright vibrant blue without being too in your face. Great formula easy two coats.
Everyone just take a minute to enjoy this polish... This is Amethyst, and it's one of the most beautiful polishes ever created. It's so vibrant and this is super shimmery in direct sunlight, it's slightly darker in person. This is my absolute favourite, purple is my favourite colour and I love to find a great one from the drugstore. If you love purple you really need this one. This is two coats.
This one is called French Roast. This was a surprise favourite for me, I love neutrals but I wasn't sure about this in the bottle. It's a deep brown with brown and blue shimmer. The blue was hard to capture, it can get lost on the nail, you can see one blue glitter shining in the bottle - not sure how I managed to just capture one ahahaha! I loved this on the nail I didn't want to remove it, two coats perfect formula.
Finally we have Rain Forest. I'm so glad my camera picked up the amazing shimmer of this polish. It has a deep murky green base with green duochrome flaky type glitters. This polish has so much dimension and it's stunning on the nail. Really is like a Rainforest. Two coats.
So I hope you enjoyed this quick swatch and review of the Revlon Colorstay polishes. My favourites are Amethyst, French Roast and Coastal Surf.
